Competitive Edge Racing is built on a partnership among Kevin Castle, Pete Nelson, and Caley Emerson. Each brings a different perspective to the same goal: helping race teams make better decisions and improve together.

Kevin Castle — Setup & Race Performance

Kevin brings extensive experience evaluating race cars on track, diagnosing handling characteristics, and matching setups to the strengths of individual drivers. He leads the team’s final setup decisions.

Pete Nelson — Data & Technical Analysis

A professor at Bemidji State University with previous consulting experience for the Cleveland Browns, Pete brings expertise in analytics, pull-down testing, shock dyno measurements, and data acquisition. He helps turn complex information into useful decisions.

Caley Emerson — Driver Development & Racing Experience

Caley brings experience across numerous racing divisions, semi-professional competition, racing-school work, and a national driving competition victory. His focus includes driver coaching, race car construction, and connecting driver feedback to what the car is doing.
